The Diagnostic Questions
Ideally it would be great if you could ask a close friend to help you with this exercise.
NB:If you don't have a friend available to help you then ask yourself the questions.
- Your friend/supporter asks the first question and you answer whatever pops into your head, the first thought is the most significant even if it doesn't make sense at the time. Your friend then asks the same question again, you answer and then she asks again etc, 5 times for each question. They record your answers each time.
- It is not valuable to think too hard about the answers, whatever is prompted quickly by the question is the best answer. Repeating the question at least five times allows for deeper and deeper responses.
- Once you have completed the exercise then send your answers to the therapist you are working with and they will then make an appointment for the follow up Skype session.
NB:If you don't have a friend available to help you then ask yourself the questions.
